Represented by the general partner Eric Schweppe
Phone: +49 (0)621 43744258 · Email: ciao@sanremo.ma
You can also use these details for questions about data protection and to exercise your rights.
2. Scope
This notice explains which personal data are processed when you visit sanremo.ma, use the table booking and contact functions, or contact us by email or phone. The website presents the restaurant concept “San Remo” and is for demonstration purposes only.
3. Hosting by Vercel
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and delivered via its global content delivery network.
When you open the website, technically necessary connection data are processed, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the requested address, the referring page, information about your browser and operating system, the status code and the amount of data transferred. These data are needed to display the website and to keep it secure and stable, for example to detect and defend against attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the reliable and secure provision of our website. Vercel processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Data may also be processed on servers outside the European Union, in particular in the USA. Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Vercel has agreed to the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
Connection data are stored only as long as necessary for these purposes. We do not use Vercel’s analytics or statistics services (such as Vercel Analytics or Speed Insights). More information: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
4. Table booking and contact form
The booking and contact functions on this website do not transmit any data to our servers. When you click “Send as email now” or “Send message as email”, your browser turns your entries into an email in your own email program. Your details only reach us once you send that email yourself. Until then they remain solely on your device.
With the email we receive the details you provide, in particular your name, phone number, email address, the requested day, time and number of guests, your topic and your message. We process them to handle and answer your booking or enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for bookings and pre-contractual enquiries and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries; our legitimate interest is proper communication with guests, interested parties and business contacts.
If you voluntarily tell us about allergies or intolerances, we use this information solely to prepare for your visit. The legal basis is then your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
Sending the email is subject to the privacy policy of your own email provider. We delete booking requests once the date has passed and no further correspondence is needed, and other enquiries once they have been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the details you provide, in particular your name, email address or phone number, the content of your message and, where applicable, attached documents and necessary notes. The purpose is to handle and answer your request.
For general enquiries the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where a contract with you or pre-contractual steps at your request are concerned, such as a booking or a rental enquiry, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Our email service is provided by united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany, acting as our processor.
Providing your details is voluntary. Without the information required for your request, we may not be able to handle it. Enquiries are deleted once they have been fully dealt with, unless further correspondence, statutory retention obligations or the need to secure legal claims justify longer storage. The legal basis for statutory retention is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the relevant provision.
6. Storing your settings
If you choose a language (German, English or Italian), your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage, entry “sr-lang”) so that the website appears in your language next time. Your decision in the cookie notice is stored there as well (entry “sr-consent”, with the date), so that the notice does not reappear on every visit; we ask again after twelve months. These are not cookies, and the entries are not sent to us. Storage is strictly necessary for the service you explicitly requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); the legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can delete the entries at any time in your browser settings.
7. Map (OpenStreetMap)
In the “Directions” section you can display a map from OpenStreetMap. The map is only loaded after you click “Load map”. Only then does your browser connect to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF), St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, transmitting in particular your IP address and technical information about your browser.
The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time by reloading the page; the map will then not be loaded again. The European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
8. Links to route planners
The “Plan your route” and “Open in Apple Maps” buttons are ordinary links to Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) and Apple Maps (Apple Inc., USA). No data are sent to these providers before you click. If you follow a link, the respective provider’s privacy policy applies.
9. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are hosted locally on our server. No connection to external font providers such as Google Fonts is made.
10. Cookies, web analytics and social media
We only set cookies with your consent, and only for web analytics with Google Analytics. We do not use advertising tracking or social media pixels.
Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). It shows us in aggregated form how our website is used, for example which pages and sections are viewed, how long a visit lasts and how visitors find us. This helps us improve the content and structure of the website.
Google Analytics is only loaded once you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. It then stores two cookies on your device, “_ga” and “_ga_HHZ2G13CDF”, each for up to two years. They contain a randomly generated identifier by which Google recognises returning visits. In particular, the pages you view and your interactions with them (such as clicks, scrolling and downloads), the date, time and duration of your visit, the previously visited page (referrer), your approximate location (country, region, city), your language setting and information about your device, browser and operating system are processed. According to Google, your IP address is only used to derive your approximate location and is deleted immediately afterwards; it is not logged or stored. We have deactivated Google signals and personalised advertising.
The legal basis for storing and reading the cookies is your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG, and for the further processing your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent is voluntary; you can use the website in full without it. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by opening “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page and choosing “Decline”. The Google Analytics cookies are then deleted.
Google processes the data on our behalf; Google’s data processing terms (Art. 28 GDPR) form part of our contract with Google. The data are first collected via servers in the EU but may also be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Google’s terms provide for the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
Data linked to individual visits are deleted automatically by Google after the retention period set in Google Analytics, at the latest after 14 months. More information: policies.google.com/privacy and support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.
Social media
The social media profiles shown on this website are fictional; no plugins, embedded feeds or connections to social networks are included. The images in the “Seguici” section are loaded from our own server.
11. Recipients
Within our company, only those who need access for the tasks described receive it. Recipients are Vercel Inc. (hosting), united-domains GmbH (email) and, only with your consent, Google Ireland Limited (web analytics) as processors and, also only with your consent, the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Disclosures required by law remain unaffected. Transfers to third countries take place only as described in sections 3, 7 and 10.
12. Access, rectification, erasure and portability
Subject to the legal requirements, you may request information about the data we process about you and a copy of these data (Art. 15 GDPR), have incorrect data corrected and incomplete data completed (Art. 16 GDPR), and request erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR). Statutory retention or processing necessary for legal claims may prevent immediate erasure.
The right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) covers data you have provided, insofar as we process them automatically on the basis of consent or a contract. You can exercise your rights using the contact details in section 1.
13. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your personal data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You can object informally, for example by email to ciao@sanremo.ma.
14. Withdrawal of consent and automated decisions
Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. There is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Pseudonymous usage profiles are only created if you consent to Google Analytics (section 10); they are used solely for statistics.
15. Right to lodge a complaint
Under Art. 77 GDPR you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-WürttembergHeilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany
Phone: +49 (0)711 615541-0
Email: poststelle@lfdi.bwl.de
You do not need to contact us before lodging a complaint. If our processing changes, we will update this notice.

6, par. 1, lett. a) GDPR, § 25, comma 1 TDDDG).
